An evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to your cancer care
Cancer is a diagnosis no one hopes to face, but you never have to go it alone. When you come here for cancer treatment, you'll be getting the best care by our clinicians who come from some of the most regarded institutions in the country. You can count on us to do everything we can to balance your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
We hold ourselves up to the highest standards when we treat your cancer. The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer has accredited us as an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program. We're proud to be a member of the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Care Collaborative, providing our staff and patients access to the latest and most effective, evidence-based best oncology practices and standards in cancer treatment and research.
Cancer support services
If you've been diagnosed with cancer, we'll connect you with a Nurse Navigator for a familiar, friendly face and guidance every step of the way. Your Nurse Navigator will identify any barriers to timely care so you don't have to, and will connect you with educational resources. She'll facilitate communication with your healthcare providers, streamline appointments and coordinate access to any financial assistance and social services you need.
We'll also connect you with emotional support services and integrative medicine services during your journey.
Immunotherapy is An FDA-approved approach that uses the patients immune system to attack cancer. Immunotherapy offers patients an alternative to more traditional treatments like chemotherapy. We've participated in clinical trials using immunotherapies and now use it as a standard treatment for our patients. We have multiple open trials available for melanoma, as well as lung and breast cancers, with new opportunities becoming available regularly. We have been amazed by some of our patient’s clinical responses to immunotherapy and look forward to treating more patients with this revolutionary treatment.
Cancer research and clinical trials
Clinical trials offer those with cancer a hope for today and a commitment to exploring innovative therapies for tomorrow. Stamford Health's Bennett Cancer Center's oncologists often research the latest clinical trials to provide a range of offerings for those undergoing initial cancer treatments, and for those whose cancer is recurring or advanced in stage. See the full list of clinical trials.
Skilled surgical oncologists
You may need surgery as part of your cancer treatment plan. Our oncologists collaborate with our skilled surgeons to determine the best course of action for you. High-quality care and attention to detail are always top priority. Our surgical oncologists also use minimally invasive cancer surgery options whenever possible which means less pain, less blood loss and a quicker return home. Whatever the case may be, we provide accurate and timely answers and diagnosis, all with specialized care using the most advanced technology.
