Gastroenterology Services Offered

Colonoscopy detects and prevents at least 95% of colorectal cancers and increases the likelihood of curing them completely. If you’re concerned about your risk or are 45 or older, request a colonoscopy screening appointment with our team.
Our board-certified physicians use advanced technology, including cutting-edge and minimally invasive procedures, to diagnose and address symptoms of colorectal cancer.
Our experienced surgeons regularly diagnose and treat non-cancer conditions including anal fissures, Crohn’s disease, hemorrhoids, and diverticulitis.
Our highly skilled team treat a wide variety of conditions including chronic sore throat, laryngitis, and pain when swallowing – often with minimally invasive approaches and treatment.
To treat hepatobiliary cancer symptoms, our board-certified surgeons, in many cases, can perform surgery laparoscopically for shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery times.
Our physiology program evaluates pelvic floor dysfunction to ease symptoms including chronic constipation and fecal incontinence.

Other Services At Stamford Health

Hemorrhoid Treatment
We treat both internal and external hemorrhoids, surgically and non-surgically. We are specialists in the CRH O’Regan System™, a painless and non-invasive method for treating external hemorrhoids.

Manometry & Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Testing
The GI Center of Excellence has the latest manometry, which records pressure and motility of the swallowing process, and pH testing equipment to enhance diagnosis of acid reflux disease.

Upper GI Gastroscopy
During an upper endoscopy, an endoscope is passed through the mouth and throat and into the esophagus. This provides views into the esophagus, stomach, and upper part of the small intestine.

24-Hour pH Impedance Test
If you have not responded to medications or have negative gastroscopy results, pediatric reflux, or cough, belch, or voice disorders, you may need a 24-hour test to measure reflux in the esophagus.
