At the first visit, you will be seen by an HSS physician assistant who will evaluate your symptoms, provide treatment, and develop a care plan. Our team will also help you to schedule any necessary follow-up care in a timely manner, so you don’t have to figure out the next steps on your own. When To Seek Emergency Care
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room: difficulty or pain when breathing; unbearable pain (10 out of 10) that may require very strong medication or intensive treatment; weakness in the arms or legs; trouble with vision, headaches, and/or dizziness; any condition caused by a traumatic event, such as a motor vehicle accident; fever that started within 24 hours of your condition (>101.5° F), bowel or bladder retention or incontinence, or numbness in the groin.
