  • When you're seeking primary care services after hours or when your usual physician is not available. We welcome and encourage walk-in patients, but do offer scheduled appointments for your added convenience. 
  • Certain immunizations and vaccines
  • Non-emergency medical conditions such as:
    • Colds and Flu: You'll receive a proper diagnosis, and if needed, medication to treat these conditions.
    • Infections: Ear infections, eye infections, skin infections, and small, uncomplicated wounds can be treated by our staff.
    • Stomach problems: If you suffer digestive symptoms, such as vomiting or diarrhea or heartburn, we can identify whether the problem is caused by food poisoning, stomach flu or if this is a sign of a more complicated problem that requires medication or a visit to a specialist.
    • Minor sports injuries: If you are injured while training for or playing sports, our team can assess your condition and determine whether you need medication, an x-ray or to see an orthopedic specialist.
    • Chronic disease management: Many common chronic conditions, including hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes can be managed by our staff.

Our services are open to both Stamford Health Medical Group established patients a well as new patients age 14 and over. SHMG Walk-In Center is an in-network provider with all of the major insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid. Primary care office co-pays apply, so you can avoid the added expense of urgent care and emergency room fees.
