STAMFORD, CT / August 5, 2026 – U.S. News and World Report (USNWR), a leading authority on hospital rankings, has released its “Best Hospitals 2026–2027” ratings. This year, Stamford Hospital earned High Performing ratings in 11 procedures and conditions and 1 adult specialty, recognizing the hospital's strong clinical outcomes, quality measures, and patient care across multiple specialties. Stamford Health was also named one of Connecticut’s six Best Regional Hospitals among the 42 organizations evaluated, a notable achievement given the significant weight patient volume carries in the USNWR ranking methodology.

These recognized procedures and conditions include abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, diabetes, heart arrhythmia, heart failure, hip fracture, hip replacement, kidney failure, leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma, pneumonia, stroke, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Additionally, Stamford Hospital was once again recognized for expertise in orthopedics, one of 14 eligible specialties evaluated by USNWR, through its continued partnership with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), which was ranked #1 in the U.S for orthopedics and #3 in rheumatology. The ratings reflect Stamford Hospital's performance in clinical outcomes, patient care and quality measures across some of the most common and complex conditions treated in hospitals nationwide.
