Amanda B. Bradford, PAC
About Me
Amanda Bradford is a board-certified physician assistant who joined Stamford Health in 2021. She has been a practicing orthopedic physician assistant since 2006 and is a current member of the orthopedic trauma physician assistant team.
As physician assistant,Amanda is licensed by the state of New York and Connecticut. She can examine, diagnose and treat patients; prescribe medications; and perform procedures independently. She has experience in reducing fractures and dislocations, applying appropriate cast or splints, tendon laceration repairs, nailbed repair/finger amputations, evaluating septic joints/aspirations and assist physicians in major surgical procedures from complicated spine surgery to total joints and fracture fixation surgery.
Amanda studied at the University of Maryland, College Park and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in 2003. Following her undergraduate studies, Amanda attended Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, New York and graduated from its surgical physician assistant program.
Amanda has been board certified by the NCCPA since 2006. This board certification means that she passed the Commission’s rigorous exams and has maintained the necessary continuing education requirements to remain active.
Amanda has specialized in multiple areas of orthopedics: seven years with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, where she focused on spine and arthroplasty; four years at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), New York, New York working in spine and trauma surgery; three years in private orthopedic sports and arthroplasty practice, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Amanda provides an experienced eye to the orthopedic trauma team supplying knowledge and insight to the team.
