Norwalk Radiology Consultants with Stamford Health Expands Advanced Imaging Services for Enhanced Patient Care
Stamford, CT / February 10, 2026 – Today, Norwalk Radiology Consultants (NRC) with Stamford Health cut the ribbon on its newly renovated suite within its Norwalk location, introducing advanced imaging capabilities and marking a significant development in diagnostic services.
In 2024, Stamford Health and Norwalk Radiology Consultants launched their collaborative entity, Norwalk Radiology Consultants with Stamford Health, sharing a commitment to providing lower Fairfield County with cutting-edge, high-quality, and personalized care, close to home.
Located at 148 East Avenue, the expanded facility now features 8191 square feet of modernized space and four new patient rooms, offering a comprehensive suite of imaging services. In addition to ultrasound, 3D mammography, and bone density testing, patients now have access to new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scan, and X-ray, all delivered with state-of-the-art technology and the trusted expertise of NRC’s board-certified radiologists.
“We are very excited to build upon our existing collaboration with Stamford Health,” said Ronald P. Lee, MD, Chairman of Stamford Health’s Department of Radiology and radiologist of Norwalk Radiology Consultants, P.C. “For decades, NRC has served the Norwalk area with trusted, physician-led imaging and strong local clinical ties. Our fellowship-trained radiologists, educated at the nation’s leading institutions, deliver academic-level imaging expertise while remaining a high-quality, affordable option for our community.”
“By transforming this facility, we are reinforcing our commitment to providing our community with greater comfort, convenience, and access to advanced diagnostic services,” said Liz Longmore, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Stamford Health. “We are incredibly proud of our joint venture with NRC and look forward to our continued growth together.”
In 2025, Stamford Health received accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) at all its imaging sites, including NRC with Stamford Health. This honor reflects the exceptional standards upheld by NRC’s team of radiologists by the American Board of Radiology across all imaging modalities and meeting the rigorous credentialing requirements of the ACR.
“I am so pleased that this upgrade was thoughtfully designed to improve the patient experience,” added Andrew Shih, MD, Clinical Director of Outpatient Imaging at NRC with Stamford Health. “From a modern, comfortable space to new equipment and updated technology, every update was made with the goal of making imaging services easier and more seamless for our patients.”
