About Me
Katherine Takayasu, MD, MBA is a boardcertified family medicine physician who specializes in integrative medicine. She works to improve patient wellness using traditional medicine and complementary medicine techniques.
Dr. Takayasu earned her medical degree from Wright State University. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Columbia University. After completing her residency, she began fellowship training in integrative medicine at Stamford Hospital and also received training in medical acupuncture at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Takayasu is committed to caring for the whole patient – mind, body, and soul.
She serves as the Director of the Chronic Pelvic Pain Program at the Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness.
She helps men and women with pelvic pain find relief through personalized, evidence-based medicine including trigger point injections, acupuncture, and mind-body therapies.
She provides a natural approach to conditions that affect health and quality of life. Her areas of interest include perimenopause, fertility, stress management, anxiety/depression, incontinence, and pain.
