Feasibility, Safety, Clinical, and Laboratory Effects of Convalescent Plasma Therapy for Patients with SARS-CoV-2 Infection

      Plasma Donors – Inclusion Criteria

      1. Subjects must have a prior diagnosis of COVID-19 documented by a laboratory test.
      2. Subjects must have complete resolution of symptoms at least 14 days prior to donation.
      3. Healthy individual without recent history of blood infections.
      4. 18 years of age or older.
      5. Additional eligibility criteria can be found at: (https://www.nybc.org/donate-blood/become-donor/can-i-donate-blood/).  Note: Plasma donation occurs at a New York Blood Center location not at Stamford Health.

      Plasma Recipients - Inclusion Criteria

      1. Subjects must be 18 years of age or older.
      2. Subjects must have laboratory confirmed COVID-19 infection.
      3. Subjects must be classified as having severe or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infection, with all three criteria below met:
      • dyspnea,
      • room air blood oxygen saturation ≤ 93%,
      • pulmonary infiltrates

      4. Subjects must provide informed consent or consent provided by  legally authorized representative
