Stamford Health Partners with Stamford Downtown to Paint the Town Pink

On Saturday, September 30, Bedford St. Merchants Raise Funds for Breast Care

STAMFORD, CT/ September 29, 2023 – Today, Stamford Health announced their second annual partnership with Stamford Downtown for a one-day event on Saturday, September 30. To kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month, over 45 retailers, restaurants, service, and entertainment venues on Bedford Street in downtown Stamford will feature pink-themed offerings and special promotions.

All proceeds from Paint the Town Pink events provide services such as free mammograms, breast ultrasound, MRIs, and biopsies for uninsured, underinsured, and low-income women who otherwise could not afford breast care. In 2022, Bedford Street merchants raised over $3,000 for daily sales proceeds for Paint the Town Pink.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in pink and be a part of the fundraising efforts by frequenting their favorite local downtown businesses. Visit for a complete list of Stamford Downtown businesses who have special promotions.

Stamford Health’s Paint the Town Pink started 18 years ago, and in that time, has raised over $1 million for breast services. For a complete calendar of October events for Breast Cancer Awareness month, see
