Stamford, CT/May 20, 2019 – Stamford Health is pleased to announce that Jonathan Bailey has been named as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer. Bailey joins Stamford Health from Mission Health in Asheville, North Carolina, where he was the chief program development officer and the president of Avenu Health since 2010.
In his role as the Chief Operating Officer at Stamford Health, Jonathan will foster a culture of excellence by providing thought leadership and expertise on strategies, processes, technologies, and services to ensure optimal service line configuration, operational excellence, experience, access and best practices for primary and specialty healthcare delivery for Stamford Health. Bailey will oversee the organization’s leading service lines, including Oncology, Women’s and Children’s, Heart and Vascular, Neurosciences, Behavioral Health and will work closely to support the partnership that Stamford Health has with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). In addition, Bailey will be responsible for the various support service operational departments that are key to Stamford Health being the most trusted healthcare provider in the region.
Prior to joining Stamford, Bailey was with Mission Health, a system serving Western North Carolina, were he was responsible for implementing system wide program and business development activities, with a specific focus on physician alignment, quality oversight and strategic operational leadership for oncology, orthopedics, neurosciences, virtual care, personalized medicine and Avenu Health. He also previously served as the administrator for neurosciences and aging services at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and the division administrator/operations manager for general surgery, trauma and orthopedics at the Mayo Clinic.
