Biography

Dr. Sunkara, a board-certified internist, received her medical degree from NTR University of Health Sciences and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, which is affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.

Most recently, she assisted underserved areas of Ansonia, Conn. in her role as Associate Ambulatory Director of Griffin Hospital. While at Griffin, she also was a preceptor for internal medicine residents.

Dr. Sunkara manages all aspects of outpatient care including acute and chronic medical problem management such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, annual physical exams and sports physical exams. She specializes in preventive healthcare and women’s health services.

Dr. Sunkara lives in Stamford with her husband and two children.
