Dr. Dowdle is the Director of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Stamford Hospital and Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York Medical College. He has been recognized as one of the Top Doctors in Fairfield County, Top Doctors in Connecticut, America’s Top Surgeons, America’s Top Orthopaedists and America’s Top Doctors.
Dr Dowdle has published multiple articles in the field of hand surgery.
He specializes in the treatment of hand and wrist disorders in all age groups. He has a particular interest in small joint arthroscopy and minimally invasive treatments for multiple disorders including Dupuytren’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome and wrist fractures. He has introduced several new treatments and surgical techniques to the Stamford medical community.
In addition to his clinical practice, he has lent his expertise as a team physician for Manhattanville College, the Buick Classic PGA event, the GHI Bronx Tennis Classic ATP event and served as Medical Director for the Nutmeg Games, the Connecticut State Olympics.
