Dr. Krinsley has been in clinical practice in Stamford since he completed training in 1986. His interests in pulmonary medicine include the evaluation of unexplained shortness of breath, COPD, cough and asthma.
Since 1998 he has been Director of Critical Care at Stamford Hospital. In that capacity he helps train young physicians and leads a multidisciplinary team of clinicians that has created a very high standard of care, recognized with two national awards.
In addition, he has been very interested in the topic of glucose control in the critically ill and has published a number of scientific papers that have been widely cited and recognized. These include investigations of hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, glucose variability and the role that diabetes status plays in relation to these metrics of glucose control. This work has led to presentations at numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Krinsley has also been named a “Top Doctor” multiple times by Castle Connolly, New York Magazine and Connecticut Magazine.
Dr. Krinsley’s non-medical interests include travel, music (former rock-and-roll guitarist), reading and sports.
His wonderful wife is an accomplished artist and they are blessed with two beautiful children.
