Pediatric Center of Stamford Joins Stamford Health Medical Group

STAMFORD, CT / January 20, 2020 – The Pediatric Center of Stamford is the first pediatric practice to join Stamford Health Medical Group (SHMG). SHMG is a multi-specialty group of over 150 physicians that provides healthcare services to residents of Fairfield County and nearby Westchester County. SHMG is part of the comprehensive network of medical, surgical and emergency care services and technology at Stamford Health, which also includes Stamford Hospital.

Their compassionate, family-centered approach has earned them not only an excellent reputation, but also a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) designation. A Patient-Centered Medical Home is a healthcare delivery model where patients’ care and treatment are coordinated and managed through their primary care physician and care team.

This new association will provide patients of the Pediatric Center with expanded resources including laboratory and radiology locations throughout lower Fairfield County as well as the Pediatric Emergency Department at Stamford Hospital.

The Pediatric Center, pediatricians, and staff look forward to continuing to serve families and the community. The office location and phone numbers will remain the same and will continue to accept most major insurance plans. The Pediatric Center is currently accepting new patients.

The team of medical professionals joining SHMG includes Sanford L. Swidler, MD, Paule Couture, MD, Timothy Kenefick, MD, Lisa Rooney, MD, Monique Gagnon, MD, Susan Lasky, DO, Joan Gildea, APRN and Courtney Parker, APRN.
