Timothy Manoni, MD, has been named Chief of Vascular Surgery at Stamford Hospital. Dr. Manoni will also continue as Director of the Hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center, which is located at 1351 Washington Blvd.
Dr. Manoni joined the Hospital in 2004 and, under his leadership during the last 10 years, the Vascular Surgery division has grown significantly. The division now has five university-trained surgeons who are dedicated to vascular surgery and specialize in minimally invasive techniques. The Hospital’s new hybrid operating room provides the high-tech environment needed to maximize the skills of its surgeons, allowing them to perform even the most complex cases with the best outcomes.
Dr. Manoni received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center. He completed his residency and fellowship in Surgery at New York Medical College – Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Manoni also completed a training fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
A resident of Westport, Dr. Manoni is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and vascular surgery, and is a member of the New York Medical College of Surgeons.
