About Me

Dr. Brutus joined the Breast Surgery department at Stamford Health Medical Group in September 2016. Prior to this, she was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Albany Medical Center from 2011 to 2016 where she also worked as a full-time breast surgeon. She completed her fellowship in Breast Oncology at Northwestern University in 2011. As a Fellow, her work on breast cancer characteristics in nipple discharge was selected to be presented at the Breast Cancer Symposium of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Brutus completed a residency in General Surgery at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, an academic affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She attended medical school in Haiti.

She has participated in numerous volunteer medical missions in Haiti throughout her career and in a significant number of community outreach programs to educate women about breast cancer.
