About Me

Dr. Paul Weinstein has spent over 40 years caring for patients with cancer and blood disorders at Stamford Health. He specializes in treating breast, lung and colon cancer.

Dr. Weinstein first received his training in hematology before joining the growing field of oncology. In 1986, he was awarded the Ettinger Fellowship Award from the Fairfield County Chapter American Cancer Society to study bone marrow transplants.

Dr. Weinstein enjoys taking care of patients and finds it rewarding to provide high-quality care. He is dedicated to his patients, partnering with them to develop personalized treatment plans. He uses all the resources available, including the numerous clinical trials and robust research at Stamford Health, to help each patient achieve his or her treatment goals.

As Medical Director of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Bennett Cancer Center, he leads Stamford Health medical oncologists and strives to improve the quality of cancer care. Through the center’s affiliations with the Dana Farber Brigham and Women’s Cancer Care Collaborative, he helps bring the most advanced cancer care to patients at Stamford Health.

As co-director of the Cancer Risk and Prevention program, he also helps patients and their families understand their genetic risks for cancer. Based on their genetic test results, he helps families develop plans to prevent cancer or detect cancer in early stages.

Dr. Weinstein enjoys working with all his colleagues at Stamford Health in an excellent environment where excellent people do excellent things.
