About Me

Paul J. Gaglio, MD, specializes in hepatology and he cares for patients who have diseases of the liver including cirrhosis, hepatitis and cancer. He has extensive experience in the field of liver transplantation.

After studying biology at Rutgers College, Dr. Gaglio earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He then completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Dr. Gaglio completed a fellowship in digestive diseases at UMDNJ focusing on gastroenterology, hepatology and liver transplantation.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Gaglio is devoted to teaching and supervising medical students, interns, residents and fellows in all aspects of hepatology and liver transplantation.

He has authored and coauthored numerous publications about the care of patients with liver disease. Dr. Gaglio has lectured nationally and internationally on  a wide variety of topics, including acute liver failure, bleeding and clotting in patients with cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and the assessment of abnormal liver tests.

As a physician with Stamford Health, Dr. Gaglio provides expert care, personalized to the needs of his patients.
