About Me

Danielle Greenman, M.D., is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in integrative and functional medicine. She is also licensed in Acupuncture and is working to complete the Institute for Functional Medicine certified practitioners course. Dr. Greenman uses a combination of complementary and traditional medicine to improve the overall health and wellness of her patients. Dr. Greenman’s training is routed in traditional western allopathic medicine and approaches health and wellness from a bio-psycho-social vantage point. Her training as a primary care physician is at the heart of her complementary and alternative modalities.

Dr. Greenman incorporates functional medicine into her practice, utilizing specialized testing to personalize treatment plans. Dr. Greenman’s specific interests include integrative complementary therapies such as acupuncture, myofascial trigger point release, botanicals, nutrition counseling, and mind-body medicine. She uses these techniques to treat pain, stress, migraine and tension headaches, functional abdominal concerns such as irritable bowel syndrome and chronic pelvic pain, and peri-operative anxiety. She is also a champion of women’s health and works with patients in the areas of pregnancy, fertility, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and menopause.

Dr. Greenman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Cornell University, focusing on the cultural constructs of medicine and healing. She earned her medical degree at Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in internal medicine, primary care.
