About Me

Augsuto Podesta, MD, is a board-certified pathologist and fellowship-trained surgical pathologist. He previously served as the Director of Surgical Pathology at Stamford Health.

Dr. Podesta specializes in the examination of tissue samples and has a long-standing interest in the science of the causes and effects of disease. He chose pathology as a specialty because he felt he could make a positive difference in the lives of his patients by correctly identifying the signs of a medical condition. He enjoys using his medical knowledge and years of experience to solve medical mysteries and help physicians arrive at the right diagnosis. He strives to provide the most accurate interpretation of lab results to support quality patient care and ensure each patient receives the most appropriate treatment.

During his free time, Dr. Podesta enjoys staying active and playing tennis, sailing and biking.
