Dr. Arun Nandi joined Stamford Health in 2016 as the chair of emergency medicine. He is employed by USACS, US Acute Care Solutions. He has extensive training and expertise in emergency care. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP). He also holds a fellowship in trauma and reconstructive surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of London. He began his career as a surgeon in India and holds a master’s degree from the University of Madras.
In the United States, Dr. Nandi completed his residency training in emergency medicine at Jacobi and Montefiore Hospitals in New York City. He has held leadership positions in various organizations and strives to streamline emergency department care, helping patients receive safe, efficient and quality treatment when they need it most. He also works with emergency medical services to improve care and coordination before patients arrive at the hospital, resulting in better patient outcomes.
Dr. Nandi is passionate about global health, providing international leadership as part of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is the deputy ambassador for emergency medicine to India and was instrumental in developing one of the first emergency medicine residency programs at his alma mater in South India.
Dr. Nandi is married with two children and loves golden retrievers. In his spare time, he enjoys cheering on FC Barcelona, traveling the globe, skiing, gardening and watching Clint Eastwood films.
