About Me

Dr. Douglas began her career as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. In 2009, she moved to Fairfield County and became a partner in Greenwich Neurosurgery and developed the Connecticut Spine Institute, now Stamford Health Medical Group.

As a board-certified neurosurgeon with a generalized cranial and spinal neurosurgical practice, she specializes in minimally invasive spinal decompression and fusion techniques for degenerative, scoliotic, traumatic and neoplastic spinal disorders. She has been on staff at Stamford Hospital since 2009 and was named Chief of the Division of Neurosurgery in 2014. Dr. Douglas was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the NYU-Langone Medical Center in 2010.

She began her research career with the Policy Action Committee of the World Health Organization while a medical student, and participates in clinical research in spine surgery, collaborating with many regional and national spine surgeons on cost-effectiveness research. She has won numerous awards for scholarship and her clinical research.
