About Me

Mohamad Zanbrakji, MD, is a board certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained trauma and critical care surgeon. He provides lifesaving care to patients in emergency situations and those with critical care illness.

Following medical school graduation from Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Zanbrakji completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Stamford Hospital. He then obtained his fellowship training at Yale University School of Medicine in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.

Dr. Zanbrakji joined the Stamford Health Medical Group as a general and trauma surgeon. His areas of interest and expertise include emergency general surgery, trauma surgery, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as hernia surgery.

Outside of the surgical practice, Dr. Zanbrakji is a husband and father of four children. He enjoys playing soccer, kayaking, and spending quality time with his wife and children.
