NAMI (National Aliance on Mental Illness) Southwest Connecticut offers a Family Support Group
NAMI Southwest Connecticut offers a Family Support Group at Stamford Hospital on the third Wednesday of every month. NAMI Support Groups offer a place where families and friends of individuals living with mental health challenges can come together in a safe and compassionate forum. Trained leaders with lived experience facilitate an encouraging and helpful dialogue amongst people who struggle with many of the same challenges at our meetings. Many, local resources will be offered through the discussions including the many NAMI educational offerings.
NAMI Support Groups are offered on the third Wednesday of every month at Stamford Hospital, One Hospital Plaza, in the first floor conference room of the Warner Building. The meetings run from 6:15 to 7:45 PM. Registration for this FREE and confidential support group is NOT necessary.
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots, nonprofit organization aimed at improving quality of life for people living with mental health challenges and their families. NAMI Southwest CT, the local affiliate of NAMI, serves lower Fairfield County, CT. Its website is namisouthwestct.org.
