The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital combines the strength of state-of-the-art technology and advanced clinical knowledge with care that treats each patient as a whole individual. The multidisciplinary team of caregivers knows that every patient is worthy of attention, respect and compassion. Each member of the team has specialized training in oncology (cancer care), and is familiar with the latest treatment options. The Bennett Cancer Center has earned the Commission on Cancer (CoC), A Quality Program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), 2019 Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA). OAA recipients have met the criteria for all six-commendation eligible CoC Standards as well as achieving compliance with the remaining 28 standards that are required for accreditation.
The Bennett Cancer Center has achieved Commission on Cancer accreditation. Accreditation is the Hallmark of Excellence and awarded to cancer programs that have made a commitment to providing high quality, comprehensive, multidisciplinary patient-centered care as demonstrated through compliance with the CoC Accreditation Standards.
