Maria Maldonado, MD, Elected to Prestigious Internal Medicine Council

Maria Maldonado, MD, Associate Chair of Stamford Hospital’s Department of Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Director, was elected to the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM) council for a three-year term, beginning July 1, 2015.

“Being selected to this distinguished and nationally recognized organization is a wonderful achievement,” said Noel Robin, MD, Chair, Department of Medicine at Stamford Hospital. “Dr. Maldonado’s boundless energy, enthusiasm, passion and creativity, which have always defined all of her countless contributions to Stamford Hospital, will surely serve to carry the APDIM to even greater heights as it faces future responsibilities and challenges.”

The APDIM supports the pursuit of excellence in graduate medical education for internal medicine through education, empowerment and representation of internal medicine program directors; support for program directors in their career development; leadership for internal medicine through development of program directors for the betterment of patients, teachers, and learners; and fostering excellence in medical education.
